The Fire Cadets syllabus has been created to recognise the achievements and progress of young people participating in Fire Cadets. It supports the development of key skills for life, learning, employment and citizenship and has been designed around existing Fire Cadets activities to compliment local programmes.
The syllabus consists of Fire Cadets Award One and Award Two, with Award One designed to give young people an insight into the fire and rescue service and develop their knowledge and understanding of community safety and well-being. Award Two introduces some new themes and topics, with the aim of diversifying the Fire Cadets experience whilst developing their knowledge and understanding of fire and rescue but more importantly their understanding of citizenship, communities and themselves.
