The Fire Cadets National Games take place every two years, with the event hosted by a different fire and rescue service on each occasion. The Games sees teams of Fire Cadets from across the UK competing against each other in a range of challenges, these typically include:
Winners are awarded for each individual challenge as well as an overall Fire Cadets National Games Champion.
The IFE Junior Lecturette Competition is an annual event aimed at encouraging young people, specifically Fire Cadets (18 and under), to present on fire-related topics. Launched in 2018 as part of the IFE’s centenary celebrations, the competition aims to educate, raise awareness, and build confidence in young participants, as well as promote fire-related career paths. The competition has since grown regionally and aims to expand into a national competition, with the long-term goal of establishing a global event.
The Fire Cadet Casualty Care Challenge has become an integral part of the annual United Kingdom Rescue Organisation (UKRO) Festival of Rescue and is delivered in partnership between UK Fire Cadets and UKRO.
The aim of the challenge is to bring together teams of Fire Cadets from across the country to participate in a national event which, not only displays their casualty care abilities, but also develops their confidence and personal development by representing their Fire Service in a competitive event. The specific areas that Fire Cadets will be assessed on within the challenge are safety, communication skills, casualty care and delegation of roles.
UK Fire Cadets are honoured to participate in the Annual Service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum to pay tribute to those members of the fire and rescue service who have died in the course of their duties.

UK Fire Cadets are honoured to parade alongside other national youth organisations within the youth column (Column Y) of the annual Cenotaph Parade on Remembrance Sunday.
