Social Action

Learn how Fire Cadets support their wider communities

Fire Cadets play an active role in their local communities through a range of social action activities which aim to build their understanding of and connection to their community.  This can include volunteering at events, fundraising, putting on or taking part in a community event, or simple neighbourly acts, and can improve young people’s confidence and skills.

Social action activities are a key part of the UK Fire Cadets syllabus, with Fire Cadets required to participate in at least three social action activities within both Fire Cadet Award One and Award Two.
